We have been using FMLE for a while now on the same computer, same camera, same streaming service. The variable is our internet connection as we go from location to location at hotels.
We recently experienced two lost connections. We are trying to trouble shoot for our client as who is to blame. The internet connection, the streaming service or us?
I see in the logs that around the time of the loss, we do buffer.
We are using FMLE 3.2 on a MacBook Pro Laptop OS 10.8.3 The camera is a Panasonic HPX 370 via firewire, with first two channels of audio chosen as we send out two wireless mics. Streaming service is Tiki Live. We send out an SD signal, 720 x 480 and stream it lower quality 432 x 242 primary between 300 and 400 kpbs backup at 100kbps and audio at 56kpbs
The locations typically have at least 6mbps upload. So we are not stressing out the system in any way.
Our question is. Does the internet go out or does the streaming server go out? We have asked both the hotel and our streaming service and they are pointing the finger at each other. Any help? As we have a very pissed off client.
