I am using windows 7 on a nice 1000+$ pc.
FME 3.1
a happauge hd pvr
and heres the catch:
an alesis multimix firewire 12 channel mixer.
The mixer handles all my audio without running through my realtek- (meaning no stereo mix for my audio)
for reference it has digital out, 1/4" + 1/8" headphone jacks, xlr + trs lines in (duh), and 2 track component audios both in and out. (meaning i can run my games audio straight from my happauge to my mixer if need be to bypass anything)
The problem lies with FME and its inability to recognize both the happauge as a supported audio, and my any of my mixers lines except for the mic in lines...(but those are xlr and trs...) I was hoping to use those mic lines to have multiple mic's running through the audio mix but if i can't then just let me at least get my games audio to FME...
Is there any programs that show up in FME as viable audio sources that i could maybe record or preview the audio lines from my mixer with? I can handle the CPU issue. I just need audio that doesn't rely on "stereo mix" as it doesn't work without any inputs going to it or my mixers "mic" line which can't accept any viable inputs. Like how i use VH capture to capture the happauge preview instead of rendering (and wasting CPU) directly with the happauge?
Any input is appreciated. I know my mixer inside and out and can answer any questions regarding mapping the busses etc if thats needed.
I could upgrade to 3.2 if that would fix anything but i heard it was slower than 3.1.
