okay I was playing around with my fmle 3.2 input resolutions and output resolutions. I was wondering why my 2MP laptop camera video improves if I select a higher input resolution and a low resolution output. for example. for Input resolution I selected 640x480 and my Output I selected 480x360. The picture looks grainy and somewhat dark. However if I change my input to say 1600x1200 and kept my output at 480x360 the picture is night and day difference. At this input resolution the picture looks amazing. why would that be?
Also since it is an improvement at 1600x1200, would it make sense to always use a Higher Input resolution than my Output resolution. Typically I will only use 480x360 for live streaming with H.264. my next plan is to setup 1920x1080 and see what it would look like with 480x360 Output resolution. will it have cpu impact, memory etc?
