Changing Feeds

I am new to FMLE.  I am using a PC.  It works just fine. What I am wanting to do is switch between The camera feed and a DVD player.  The current idea for set up is this:

XL-1 Camera to switch, DVD player to Switch, both feed the computer.  When the switch changes from Camera to DVD player, should this get picked up automatically?  I am going into the computer with S-Video from the switch so I can play a short DVD during a presentation.
